11 fixes for missing mail, storage, filters and sync
First, send yourself a test message from another email address and check Gmail in a desktop browser.
Gmail shares storage with Google Drive and Photos. A full Google account can stop new messages arriving.
Look in Spam, Trash, All Mail and Promotions. Search for the sender or use in:anywhere in Gmail search.
On desktop, open Settings, See all settings, Filters and Blocked Addresses. Look for Skip Inbox or Delete it rules.
Open Forwarding and POP/IMAP settings. An unexpected forwarding rule may be sending messages elsewhere.
Update Gmail, restart your phone and confirm account sync is enabled. Compare the app with Gmail on the web.
Check blocked senders, connected mail apps and account security. Use Google’s official missing-message troubleshooter.
